Puppies

Greta finally finished having her puppies. She ended up having 9 pups. 8 boys and 1 girl. It took from about noon until around 7:00pm. Earlier in the day Greg started to say, "Could you image being in labor...." I immediately stopped him and said, "for 18 hours? Yes." He realized right after he began talking that women are often in labor a lot longer than our dog and that he shouldn't say anything else since I for one was in labor for a while. She is being a very good mommy. She lets us get close to the puppies, but if Fritz gets close, well then she gives him a nasty bark. Who could blame her? He was the one getting lots of doggie biscuits today while she had to be in pain without an epidural and then she was required to stay home with all of the kids while he could go out and play.
