Pet Update

Well, I have some sad news about Jackson the cat. He did not get better. The bleeding in his mouth stopped for about 1 day, but it started up again. Jackson laid around all day yesterday. I told Greg on the phone yesterday, I did not think he was going to make it. Greg called the vet and it was going to cost $150 to do blood work. We decided it was not worth it to spend that much money on him. I hate to say it, but I would spend the money on Fritz or Greta if they were sick. Last night Jackson collapsed on the floor. At first Greg thought he was about to go to the potty, but we realized he could not walk. After a few minutes, he regained a little bit of his ability to walk. He has not been eating and Greg gave him some tuna fish when he got home which the cat ate a small amount. We were sure that last night was our last night with the cat. Of course, I cried. He was still alive this morning, but I had to take care of him. We did not want a sick cat in the home with a 15 month old and me being pregnant. Of course I called Greg later on crying. I can't believe how attached I got in just a week and a half, but I know we could not keep him. He just looked at me as if to say, "Why are you leaving me?" Maybe one day we will get another cat.

On a happy note about pets, Greta is pregnant. As far as I can calculate, the puppies should be here within the next 2-3 week. So, if anyone wants to buy a weimaraner puppy who is registered, let us know.
