Today has been crazy. Greg and his dad have been installing our wood floor in our family room since Friday, so our house is somewhat out of order. I picked Alyssa up on Friday and she started feeling bad that night. She has been running fever and coughing. We stayed around the house all day yesterday. We were suppose to celebrate mama's birthday after church today, but the kids did not sleep well last night and neither did I because Greta (the dog) roomed the house. She is very pregnant. I ended up moving a large kennel in the house about 5:45am in case she began having puppies because the new kitty is currently living in the kennel in the house.
Well, this morning Greg was eating breakfast and had warmed up some bacon to go with his biscuits. He told me he needed to talk with me in our room and then proceeded to tell me he had broken a tooth and was in a lot of pain. I offered this past summer to make him a dental appointment, but he refused. Hopefully he has learned his lesson. Anyway, he went to the ER to get pain medication since it was a Sunday and the dentist would be closed. Can I ever have a pregnancy in which he does not have to make a trip to the ER? With Caleb, he delivered his own mini baby because he had a kidney stone.
While he was gone, I heard Greta slam up against the backdoor. She ran in and attempted to get into our room before I shut the door. I finally got her in the kennel as it appeared her water was breaking if that actually happens with dogs. She barked louder than I have ever heard her bark before. It was miserable for both of us. I turned off the lights and found a station on the TV that played Spa music to help relax her. I sent Greg a text asking him if he remembered what I said about puppies and Sunday. Greta had her 2 previous litters on a Sunday (the first litter being born 1 hour after I came home from the hospital after delivering Caleb) so I was expecting the puppies to arrive today. As of right now, she has 5 puppies. I will post pictures later.
